How to Make Savory Potato Skins

Preparation

  1. 4 large baking potatoes
  2. 1 teaspoon of paprika
  3. 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  4. 1 teaspoon of salt
  5. 3 tablespoons of melted butter
  6. Sour cream and chives (Optional)

Procedure

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees, scrub the potatoes, and piece them with a fork several times
  2. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake until tender (1-1 1/4)
  3. Cool slightly and cut each potato in half lengthwise
  4. Scoop out pulp, leaving 1 1/4-inch thick shells (save pulp)
  5. Cut each shell lengthwise into fourths and return to the baking sheet
  6. Brush the insides with butter and mix up seasonings
  7. Sprinkle them over the butter and broil 4-5 inches away from heat for 5-8 minutes
  8. (Optional) Mix sour cream and chives and serve with potato skins
  9. Enjoy
